Statement of the Movement of Afghanistan Women in Exile On the Occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women – 25 November
On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Movement of Afghanistan Women in Exile reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with all Afghan women and girls who continue to endure severe and systematic violations of their fundamental rights. Today, violence against Afghan women has become one of the world's most urgent yet insufficiently addressed human rights crises. Under the rule of the Taliban, women and girls continue to face widespread discrimination and restrictions, including the denial of education, exclusion from employment, severe limitations on freedom of movement, and persistent intimidation. These measures have profoundly affected the dignity, well-being, and fundamental freedoms of millions of Afghan women.
