Official Statement of the Women's Movement of Afghanistan in Exile Regarding the Forced Deportation of Migrants from Pakistan
We, the members and representatives of the Women's Movement of Afghanistan in Exile, express our utmost concern and sorrow regarding the decision and process of the forced deportation of Afghan migrants from Pakistan, and hereby declare our position. We, the migrants of Afghanistan—including civil activists, journalists, human rights defenders, and employees of governmental and international institutions—were compelled to leave our country following the fall of the Republic system in 2021 and the direct threats posed by the Taliban group. Over the past four years, we have lived in a state of uncertainty, without security and without a clear future. Neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan, have hosted us during this period, and we have lived in full compliance with the domestic laws of those countries.
