Special Event Marking the Fourth Anniversary of the August 15 Developments in Afghanistan, Organized by the Movement of Afghanistan Women in Exile in Pakistan

On 15 August, marking the fourth anniversary of the developments in Afghanistan, the Movement of Afghanistan Women in Exile organized a special event in Islamabad, Pakistan. The program was dedicated to reflecting on the challenges, resilience, and aspirations of Afghan women in the face of continuing restrictions and human rights concerns. The event commenced with the screening of a documentary highlighting the lived experiences of Afghan women, many of whom have endured severe restrictions, violence, and exclusion since the developments of August 2021. Through powerful imagery and personal testimonies, the documentary sought to amplify voices that have too often been silenced and to raise awareness of the realities faced by Afghan women and girls.
